Special Stats

In this RPG, there are two stats that act slightly different than they have in the past. Please read the information below to learn about these changes so you don't fuck up and look like a loser.


The Skill Stat and Fighting Style

This time around the skill stat will actually have a real effect on your character. (Gasp!) When you fill out your character sheet you will put down a fighting style along with a strong stat and weak stat for that fighting style. Example:

Race: Human
Birthplace: Helio's brain.
Gender: All.
Appearance: A white silhouette.
Personality: Boring
Talents: Being used as an example.
Backstory: A worthless human born to serve as an example.
Fighting Style: A quick combat style. Strong stat is agility and its weak stat is endurance.
Magic Spells: None
Equipment: A small twig.

Stats
Endurance: 5 -3
Strength: 5
Agility: 5 +3
Skill: 5
Magic: 5
Magic Knowledge: 5

The -3 next to endurance and the +3 next to agility are the modifiers given by your fighting style. For every 10 points you put into your skill stat those modifiers will increase by one point.

Example:

Example Human, Level 5:

Stats:
Endurance: 15 -2
Strength: 15
Agility: 15 +4
Skill: 15
Magic: 15
Magical Knowledge: 15

As this shows Testy up there got 10 points into his skill stat so his skill "level up" for lack of a better word and the modifiers increased by one point. This will happen every 10 points you put in skill and there are no limits or caps to the skill stat or the modifiers.


The Magical Knowledge Stat

When creating your character you may have one spell of your own creation. The other three slots must be picked from the Spell list. The spells in the list are restricted based on your magical knowledge stat as well; the stronger the spell the higher the requirement. When you raise your magical knowledge stat to 15, you will be allowed to create a new spell or, if you want, improve an existing spell. You will get the same opportunity from there on every 5 points you gain in Magical Knowledge.

1. Worthless Expression - Testy uses Meta magic to inflict his own bleak sense of worthlessness onto his opponent. Opponents Strength drops by 1. <--- User created.
2. Mazlis Strength - Focuses Power mana to Increases strength stat by 3 for a short period of time. <--- Stock spell
3. Ending Blow - Focuses Power mana to the end of a weapon to increase its destructive power <--- Stock spell
4. Earth Glaive - Manipulate the Earth into a spear to ram the enemy. The rocks crumble back to the ground seconds after the attack. <--- Stock spell

2. Mazlis Strength - Increases strength stat by 3 for a short period of time. <--- Stock spell
3. Ending Blow - Focuses Body mana to the end of a weapon to increase its destructive power <--- Stock spell

As you can see Testy's Magical Knowledge increased to 15 so I chose to upgrade his Worthless Expression into Nihilistic View. The effects of the spell increased. But say I liked Worthless Expression the way it was I also could have just added a new spell as so:

4. Ending Blow - Focuses Body mana to the end of a weapon to increase its destructive power <--- Stock spell
5. Earth Glaive - Manipulate the Earth into a spear to ram the enemy. The rocks crumble back to the ground seconds after the attack. <--- Stock spell

I used this opportunity to add a new spell to his arsenal. Whether to add a spell or power up an old one is purely your choice. We do not have any set rules for the power of the spell but Yoshi and I will look over them and inform you to tone them down if they are too powerful so don't abuse this freedom.
