History:
The Eidolons (Eye-doh-lons) are a newly discovered race by the known world, though they have been around as long as The Gondols. Since their beginning as a civilization they have remained on their island. Human Expeditionists were sent to cross the mountains surrounding their island for research and to look for any resources to trade. People were discovered, and contact was made. The humans were greeted very kindly. The Eidolons did not take the outsiders with any sort of surprise. The Expeditionists returned with their findings, and further investigation is being put into the newly discovered race.

Physical Features: Their bodies are entirely bald, except for eyebrows. Skin color can vary, but it's usually a tan/light brown. Weight and height vary much in the same way as human. They have the capability of extremely long life span, well into the thousands. On average however, they usually live till about 600-1000.

Culture: They do not embrace any form of substantial technology. They have no machinery, but they do have housing and buildings, usually made out of stone from the surrounding mountains. The buildings are easy to make using magic. They also have a water system of man made streams, also easily made with magic. They do not farm, yet they live entirely off the land. They do not hunt. They have no organized government, but they have a very rigid respect system for elders. They are an extremely peaceful race without any military or weaponry at all. They do not believe in murder, to them all life is sacred. No man should take life away. They meditate a lot, and emphasize learning philosophies and developing some form of spirituality. They encourage free thinking and learning from others, especially your elders. The normal dress are orange robings similiar to tibetan monks.

Race abilities: They have an uncanny ability for empathy and understanding thoughts. Extremely fast learners (they learned the entire human language in the couple of days the human expeditionists spent with them). Extremely proficient with magic, advanced users have complete control over the elements. They are very good with hand to hand combat. They use it more as an art-form over actual battling. They have developed various forms of martial arts ranging from an art using only your head, to a martial arts centering around the fist, which an advanced user could shatter a boulder with. There are small martial arts/magic tournaments in the society. This is the only form of competition and sport.

The most profound of their abilities is a transformation known to the Eidolons as "The Oversoul." The only physical difference in this state is the eyes, they glow a whitish-blue. The user tends to lose control in this state, they remain conscious but it's as if something larger than themselves is using their body. A huge spirit that is a collective of many. Each Eidolon is capable of this, some can go through their life without ever tapping into it. Few can gain control of it, as well as the ability to consciously activate it. The Oversoul's power comes in at crucial moments usually. Documentation of it's uses usually include stopping natural disasters (tornadoes, earthquakes, and large floods).
